Joint resources and capabilities produce higher customer value
Nordic e-Commerce Group co-operates in six areas: marketing and sales, product and partner management, project resources, training, development of packaged solutions, and maintenance and support. IBM strongly supports the initiative. IBM’s Value Added Distributor (VAD) Pedab Software AB, now locally represented in each of the countries, will be an active sponsor and partner to the group members.
Customers will see benefits especially in stronger supply capacity in deliveries to several countries and multiple-site roll-outs. The group gives access to a stronger dedicated delivery organization to secure high demands and expectations of their customers’ e-Commerce projects. The group can also utilize IBM WebSphere Commerce certified resources located in India available for larger development works.
IBM’s preferred e-Commerce channel across Nordics
“For us at IBM this initiative comes in a time where the demand for new scalable e-Commerce platforms is heavily increasing. I personally know the company management teams and all of them are very committed to succeed together with us and confident in using our technologies. I’m sure this group will play a dominant role in helping customers with complex resource demands and in helping us to expand our business in the Nordics market” said Ole Faurholt Eriksen, Nordic Sales Leader, Multi-Channel, WebSphere Commerce, IBM Software Group.
“For our customers, large and small, the network will add long-term strength and access to more specialists within e-Commerce. At the same time for us entrepreneurs, co-operation with like-minded is extremely stimulating. I personally believe very much in open partnerships. This group will give us the extra momentum we need to quickly expand our business capacities and form a leading actor within the e-Commerce domain for the Nordics. I’m sure the market will view and react to this initiative positively” said Ralf Seimertz, CEO and President, FIWE.
