bergsala Increased Web Presence Gives Bergsala More speed on the Game Market

Bergsala, a distributor of quality products from some of the world’s leading suppliers of games, home electronics and communication equipment has gone live with new home pages for Nintendo, Pokémon and Bergsala and also the first phase of the implementation of a new up to date e-Commerce solution for the Nordic market. The objective is to upgrade and develop Bergsala’s existing web presence. It’s based on a Web Content Management platform, Morello, and on the world leading platform WebSphere Commerce V6 from IBM. Both projects have been finalized during spring 2008 and implemented by e-Commerce specialist Fiwe, Premier Business Partner to IBM.

y is characterized by high availability, high reliability and broad expertise. Bergsala aims to be the preferred choice of the customers. Customers have many channels to integrate with Bergsala, through personal meetings with vendors, by telephone, by electronic orders directly and through the Internet channel. The goal is to enable clients to meet Bergsala and use the new Internet channels as natural as the currently connection in the store, face to face or telephone.


Project objectives

Bergsala developed the Internet channel to improve and consolidate Mountain Salas market position and objectives of the project are to provide high availability around the clock seven days per year, providing improved information and knowledge about products and services. Good reliability with information and communication as an integrated part of the delivery and Broad range of skill through access to product information and services.

Products of interaction
For the e-commerce project IBM WebSphere Commerce Server V6 has been used in interaction with Fiwe’s Integration adapter connected to the ERP system, IBS Enterprise from iCore and integration platform. The following "online" call is made through the solution: retrieve a customer's unique product price, get the current stock balance and ATP for articles and topical routes, create orders, order history and displays shipping information.
